- ItemA concepção comunitarista da democracia e a educação(2009) SILVA, Sidney Reinaldo daThis paper analyzes the communitarianism as a perspective of collective decision to think democraticy in public educational policies and in public school administration. First I present the contractarian conception of democracy as a counterpoint to discuss questions about how communitarianism difine the limits and scope of political education and school as a place of coletive deliberation. What is specificaly focused is how question about identity and difference must be democratically treated. The communitarianist conception of politics is showed as a view of the public deliberation that conceives democracy as form of life, as cultural inheritance, what is its main point of desagreement with contractarian conception of the democratic participation that views participation above all as mean to ensure the liberal autonomy of the individual. It is showed that this kind of desagreement is linked with te differents conception of the people and its formation. The main issue for the communitarian democracy is about recognition and differences not autonomy and universality. The critic of a communitarian democracy is made in a other way of taking the collective dimension of democracy whose aim is the radicalization of the popular participation in polical life. This critic help us to think what kind of democracy we have and want and how this is linked with the human formation.

- ItemA formação de professores como objecto de pesquisa - contributos para a construção do campo de estudo a partir de pesquisas portuguesas(2007) ROLDÃO, Maria do CéuThe aim of this work is to clarify and define the research area which teacher training should follow. There are two areas of research: - Conceptualizing the area, using key concepts which define the theoretical plan;- Analysing the investigation produced in Portugal over the last decades suggesting the training area and identifying central areas, as well as adjacent areas in which it could fit. These two areas of research - conceptual and documental - will be analysed in a perspective of theory in so far as whether convergence zones or diffusion zones are interpreted, based on evidence in the existing investigation in the field of training in Portugal. On one hand (1), in light of ideological and historical conditions and contextualized in the Portuguese Education system and (2) on the other hand in relation to the social dominating representations concerning the teaching profession and consequent concept of training which is associated to it. Over the last decade in Portugal, investigations carried out have shown, among other aspects, a considerable conceptual dispersion; its segmentation in typologies related to temporary training which illustrates its dependence on standard dimensions concerning training systems and which show the scarcity of space and value attributed totraining in the performance of a teaching professional.

- ItemA pesquisa na Pós-Graduação em Educação(2007) SEVERINO, Antônio JoaquimWhen proposing to debate the nature of post-graduate research in Education, this work follows a reasoning which is developed in a triple reflective movement. The possibility of producing scientific knowledge in the educational field, in terms of post-graduate studies, depends on three conditional presuppositions being accepted, of meeting three epistemological challenges and of the assumption of three dialogic codes of conduct in academic practice. The result of this reflective movement is the affirmation that in these conditions, it can be feasible to establish an educational field scientifically speaking and understood from an epistemological different point of view in relation to the classic paradigm of science.

This research has as its goal to study the private tutoring phenomenon in secondary and higher education. To deepen our knowledge about this phenomenon we decided to explore the reasons that lead students to use this type of service, the existing legislation that regulates this activity in different countries and how this service is used by students. To attain these goals we will make use of different methods: reading specific bibliography, undertaking a questionnaire directed at higher education students and conducting interviews with students, individuals in charge of private tutoring centres and private tutors. In this text we present some preliminary results obtained through the questionnaires undertaken with higher education students attending two Portuguese universities that were collected in the 2008/2009 academic year. This preliminary analysis shows that the use of private tutoring is a practice that occurs in both secondary and higher education, although the attendance registered in the former case is about six times that of the latter.

- ItemAssociações de pais, interculturalidade e clivagem sociológica: algumas questões(2007) SILVA, PedroSchool and family represent two central social institutions in our societies. Family, to a certain extent, has always had this role. School, on the other hand, is still today a mirage for many (including children), when the planetary scale is considered. Thus, for almost a century, families and schools have received more attention from social sciences, giving origin to specialized subjects, such as family history and sociology, the history and sociology of education. The school-family interface took longer to become a subject of study, although excellent contributions which have analysed it have been studied over the last decades, especially in education science, and particularly sociology.
- ItemCabeças e corpos, adultos e crianças: cadê o movimento e quem separou tudo isso?(2008) SAYÃO, Deborah ThoméOne of the most important questions about the construction of a Childhood Pedagogy is related to the parts of the body and its experiences. This text tries to problematize some tension points of the relation between body and childhood, arguing for the extension of the importance of the body in reference to the respect of the multiple expressions of childhood. So, firstly the article lists a series of questions related to the western tradition that separates the body from a dimension that would differ from it ("mind", for example), which materializes in different subjects of knowledge, specially a kind of pedagogic orthopedics. Then, the text brings a literary narration for children in order to, while producing its mimesis, retell a relation of teaching using bodies: the one of the child as a student, the one of the teacher that constrains the corporality of both of them and the one of a dog. Finally, it argues for the abandonment of this model, which is still present, but that needs to be suppressed by another relation, one of educating and taking care, of teachers and children.

On the other hand, as soon as women in urban areas must entrust their young children to third parties, institutions for young children set up, with reflections on what should be done, prohibited or encouraged for this first education. The evolution of institutions and discourses that preceded contemporary standards, hygiene, nutrition, behavior are briefly traceed. One looks how it began with a speech against working class parents to an attempt of "educating parents" by children interposed before the recognition of the principle of co-education.

- ItemConstrutivismo: desdobramentos teóricos e no campo da educação(2010) SANCHIS, Isabelle de Paiva; MAHFOUD, MiguelThe constructivism, that has as main reference Jean Piaget, covers nowadays a diverse array of theories and practices that it encloses the workmanship of many authors and practical implications. In the educational field, the constructivist theory was many times transformed into pedagogical methods, based on the choice of parts or concepts of the theory to be taken for application in some aspects of the school learning. The objective of this work is to rescue some of the important implications of the theory of Piaget, as much in the theoretical field as in the development of pedagogical practices, and to point some risks of reduction, especially of the notion of subject. This article contains a brief passage of the main concepts of the theory of Piaget regarding the constitution of the subject through the interaction, which also make possible, and at the same time, the construction of the knowledge. After that, it introduces some researchers that had followed the most basic ideas of Piaget, although with distinct focus; and also different approaches and interpretations of theconstructivism of Piaget itself. Finally, some possibilities of relation between the constructivist theory and the pedagogical practice are analysed, taking into account the consequences, for the subject, of the reduction of the theory when it becomes only a method.
- ItemContribuições de Freire e Maffesoli para compreender os processos educativos no cotidiano das práticas sociais(2009) BARBOSA, Ana Maria Giusti; OLIVEIRA, Maria Waldenez deThe text is an exercise of dialogue with the contributions of Paulo Freire and Michel Maffesoli detaching of its workmanships the analogies and differentiations on daily, identity and social transformation, with the purpose to understand practical the unchained and consolidated educative processes in social the e, in more specific way, in the Local Commissions of Health of a city of the interior of the State of São Paulo. Both value the daily one, where the life happens marked for the objective and subjective conditions. A daily one that it is plural because is made of complex diversity and because it locks up contradictions and ambiguities. They approach the identity as fruit of the culture, the addition and connections between the differences and multiplicities of the daily one. In the culture-daily fusing, the people use the communication in such a way to sediment the inherited culture of the generations of ancestor, as to transform it, evidencing that the apparent immobilism of the daily one follows side-the-side with the sped up rhythm provoked for the interaction. The actions are stimulated by the carried through reasons that configure each time and by means of the interaction, with the necessary force to the formation of the personal and collective identity. In this process the education can fulfill two types of paper: to contribute so that the people look for to keep the status quo or to surpass the limits.
- ItemDe como ser professor sem dar aulas na escola da infância (III)(2008) RUSSO, DaniloConsidered as an official document, the following intentions to work in this school should be ready by November. From a rational perspective, it seems to me a very short "enlarged", but it appeals to my laziness as a magnet and causes me to express a late, and the already very focused look backward. - ItemEducação a distância no ensino superior brasileiro: das experiências pioneiras ao sistema de rede(2010) VILARINHO, Lúcia Regina Goulart; PAULINO, Camilla LoboSince the early days of the nineties, in the last century, it is possible to identify an expansion in distance education in Brazilian Universities. This expansion answers, from one side, to the demands of the working world, directed to the formation of professionals capable of guaranteeing the competitiveness of organizations, taking into consideration the scenario of the economic globalization. From another side, it is an answer to the educational political beliefs that aim to extend the offer of places in Universities. In the speeches that defend the distance education in higher education, it has been called the attention to the relation between this form of education and the possibility of educational inclusion and teacher training. Such vision demands comprehensive studies, starting from the teachers' knowledge of their trajectory in this level of education. The present research anchors in such requirement, meaning an effort that sought to rescue the experiences of distance education in higher education in Brazil, allowing the viewing of two distinct moments: the pioneering experiences and the networking system. To materialize it, it had been taken as reference authors who approach the expansion of distance education in Brazil and sites of universities. This proposal did not have the intent to deplete the experiences; in fact, only the ones taken in universities had been privileged. It is expected that this piece of work contributes for the understanding and questioning of the implications of this expansion.
