- ItemA pesquisa na Pós-Graduação em Educação(2007) SEVERINO, Antônio JoaquimWhen proposing to debate the nature of post-graduate research in Education, this work follows a reasoning which is developed in a triple reflective movement. The possibility of producing scientific knowledge in the educational field, in terms of post-graduate studies, depends on three conditional presuppositions being accepted, of meeting three epistemological challenges and of the assumption of three dialogic codes of conduct in academic practice. The result of this reflective movement is the affirmation that in these conditions, it can be feasible to establish an educational field scientifically speaking and understood from an epistemological different point of view in relation to the classic paradigm of science.
- ItemAssociações de pais, interculturalidade e clivagem sociológica: algumas questões(2007) SILVA, PedroSchool and family represent two central social institutions in our societies. Family, to a certain extent, has always had this role. School, on the other hand, is still today a mirage for many (including children), when the planetary scale is considered. Thus, for almost a century, families and schools have received more attention from social sciences, giving origin to specialized subjects, such as family history and sociology, the history and sociology of education. The school-family interface took longer to become a subject of study, although excellent contributions which have analysed it have been studied over the last decades, especially in education science, and particularly sociology.
- ItemQuestões sobre ps fins e sobre os métodos de pesquisa em educação(2007) ANDRÉ, MarliThe aim of this text is to discuss methodological and epistemological questions related to research in Education. Initially, it is argued that there is general interest from researchers in the area of Education to find criteria to evaluate the quality of research in Education. The concern arises from the large increase of scientific production over the last twenty years, as well as many changes in themes, approaches, methodologies and contexts of research. Some questions are highlighted from those which refer to the nature of produced knowledge to the criteria used to judge research and the presuppositions of quantitative and qualitative methods. This work concludes by showing the precarious conditions of producing scientific work for students, as well as teaching staff and enumerates some challenges to be faced.
- ItemA formação de professores como objecto de pesquisa - contributos para a construção do campo de estudo a partir de pesquisas portuguesas(2007) ROLDÃO, Maria do CéuThe aim of this work is to clarify and define the research area which teacher training should follow. There are two areas of research: - Conceptualizing the area, using key concepts which define the theoretical plan;- Analysing the investigation produced in Portugal over the last decades suggesting the training area and identifying central areas, as well as adjacent areas in which it could fit. These two areas of research - conceptual and documental - will be analysed in a perspective of theory in so far as whether convergence zones or diffusion zones are interpreted, based on evidence in the existing investigation in the field of training in Portugal. On one hand (1), in light of ideological and historical conditions and contextualized in the Portuguese Education system and (2) on the other hand in relation to the social dominating representations concerning the teaching profession and consequent concept of training which is associated to it. Over the last decade in Portugal, investigations carried out have shown, among other aspects, a considerable conceptual dispersion; its segmentation in typologies related to temporary training which illustrates its dependence on standard dimensions concerning training systems and which show the scarcity of space and value attributed totraining in the performance of a teaching professional.
- ItemPara pensar pesquisa e inserção social(2008) BUJES, Maria Isabel EdelweissTaking research and social insertion as a problematic issue, the article discusses the difficulties and ambiguities in articulating these two processes. Intending to stress some points of such a debate, the objective is denaturalize them, indicating its historical and contingent character. Taking the idea of social dislodgment as the reverse of social insertion we debate how much what is seen as school crisis could be related to quality, circulation and impact of knowledge production originating from research produced in the Brazilian Graduate Studies System of Education? Starting from a set of objections, of trials to show that research is not responsible to define the immediate solution to educational practical problems, another possibilities are offered, as long as education is not a dilettantish practice. The idea, considering contemporary discussions about the earthly nature of truth, the contingent character of language, the downcast of relationships between science and progress and of the anthropocentric fiction, is that we put under suspicion the modern order dogmatisms, the sacred character of pedagogy and its vocation to promise. We argue that thinking educational research today should be associated to the possibilities of elaborate new hypothesis instead of insisting in questions about the obvious. Maybe opening sensibility to the problems of nowadays could lead us to unsuspected paths, unimagined moves, encouraging possibilities.
- ItemCabeças e corpos, adultos e crianças: cadê o movimento e quem separou tudo isso?(2008) SAYÃO, Deborah ThoméOne of the most important questions about the construction of a Childhood Pedagogy is related to the parts of the body and its experiences. This text tries to problematize some tension points of the relation between body and childhood, arguing for the extension of the importance of the body in reference to the respect of the multiple expressions of childhood. So, firstly the article lists a series of questions related to the western tradition that separates the body from a dimension that would differ from it ("mind", for example), which materializes in different subjects of knowledge, specially a kind of pedagogic orthopedics. Then, the text brings a literary narration for children in order to, while producing its mimesis, retell a relation of teaching using bodies: the one of the child as a student, the one of the teacher that constrains the corporality of both of them and the one of a dog. Finally, it argues for the abandonment of this model, which is still present, but that needs to be suppressed by another relation, one of educating and taking care, of teachers and children.
- ItemEducação, Ética e Cidadania: a contribuição da atual instituição escolar(2008) PEREIRA, Eliana Alves; SILVA, Elói Lopes daThis paper presents a reflection on the contribution of educational institution in full training (moral and intellectual) of an individual in society and problematization the issue of ethics in education, identifying this way if the educational institution has been successful in its performance towards the society regarding the formation of a national ethics. For this, it is necessary in principle a conceptual analysis on the relationship between ethics and education in order to verify that the teaching practices adopted for teaching in schools has been based on the principles of citizenship, so that in this way, the goal education, which is the construction of participatory citizens and aware, that is, individuals responsible and solidarity with the community and intellectually independent, are achieved significantly.
- ItemSocialização da política: o papel da educação(2008) GALVÃO, Roberto Carlos SimõesIn Brazil the participation of the people in the power has if limited to attend in the urns of two in two years. Even in the occasion of the elections there are people that participate more for fear to the sanctions to the abstention than for critical conscience or motivations properly politics. To leave of that context, the liberal ideology credits to the school education the task of forming citizens more active and politically conscious. Research accomplished by the Department of Foundations of the Education of the State University of Maringa it proposed a critical study of the theme in relief, to the light of Marxist theoretical references, looking for to question to what extent the entailment between education and political participation is pertinent and it can be made possible. He/she broke of the presupposition that the formation of the critical conscience feels in the praxis of the fight of classes, associated to an education socialist for emancipation, for to form the man multilateral. Under the way of capitalist production, the school doesn't pass of an ideological apparel of the State, whose end is in the maintenance and in the reproduction of the bourgeois social order. The proposals of educating for the citizenship in the schools won´t make great difference, while the society be ruled in an economical politics of capitalist orientation, essentially based in the inequality, and that to oppose the revolutionary popular actions.
- ItemDe como ser professor sem dar aulas na escola da infância (III) (Tradução)(2008) RUSSO, DaniloConsidered as an official document, the following intentions to work in this school should be ready by November. From a rational perspective, it seems to me a very short "enlarged", but it appeals to my laziness as a magnet and causes me to express a late, and the already very focused look backward. This year, I return to my old practice and I take the liberty of writing this text without formal fictions, as he is often paid: in the form of a letter to those who actually read the one "you" which is the first line of this header...

- ItemSubjectividade e bem-estar das crianças: (in)visibilidade e voz(2008) FERREIRA, Manuela; SARMENTO, Manuel JacintoThe political and normative production about children social welfare, especially the one produced in the European Union, is usually based on methodological references that use values and ideas unproblematically taken. These references are related to the scientific research that supports public policies, reproducing conceptions that are not problematized about the referential terms used, having consequences on the mobilized methodological apparatus. These studies are generally supported by statistics that adds to its extensive nature a very short capacity of dealing with differences and dissimilarities between children. Moreover, these methodologies are usually based on epistemological proceedings that analyses the children from points of view focused on adults or ethnicity. The questions about children alterity, cultural diversity and even social dissimilarity find weak expression on the investigative production in several reports, especially the ones produced in important international and European organizations. At the same time, subjects like action and childhood cultures are hardly seen in studies about welfare. From an alternative perspective, we tried to set in this article the theoric, epistemological and methodological basis that allow, at the children welfare analyses, the crossing of structural indicators and subjectivity dimensions and also the crossing of social factors and comprehension and action of children as concrete social actors.
- ItemEducação e a cultura da informática(2008) AMARILLA FILHO, PorfirioHaving the characteristic of being "friendly", computing attempts to minimize and facilitate human actions. Nowadays, it occupies space in the universe of the layman, adding to his/her needs a new set of concepts and symbols. Almost obligatory, computing has become an essential element for human action. Taking this into account, this practice attempts to analyse, according to concepts of Education Philosophy and considering the context of advanced technology and human praxis, the relationships that this new universe of symbols represents for education and contemporary human action. The aim is also to bring to the research of Education Philosophy the question of computing. The proposal is not to evaluate the ´usefulness´ of computing in Education, but to make fundamental concepts explicit in the culture of computing and its relations with the praxis and Education. Its main role is to collaborate with information from new elements to the educator, proposing a philosophical reflection concerning the aspects and problems of human development faced with this new technology.
- ItemLes délices de l'anniversaire. Une mise en représentation de l'enfance(2008) SIROTA, RégineThe article of Professor Régine Sirota - The pleasures of birthday: a representation of childhood - shows us that, apart from being part of a kind of social clock that sets the social and cultural situations, socializing and building individuals in a determined culture, with its rules of civility (give and get gifts, for instance), it also portrays a gastronomic and literary culture, producing childhood. However, it is also a way of aesthetically portray daily life. Having something apparently ephemeral and small as a birthday cake as starting point, the article wonderfully rebuilds and discusses precious concepts of cultural history: civility, "ordinary" things and childhood sociology beyond the socialization process.

- ItemVozes ausentes: o currículo e a proposta de educação inclusiva(2009) MESQUITA, Amélia Maria AraújoThis article has as objective discuss the process of inclusion-exclusion in the school, showing up how the curriculum, understanding it as a gear that can potentially reinforce and weaken the segregation and the educational and social discrimination, can be contributing to this movement. For that, were developed bibliographic research- in order to show aspects that could subsidize the undertaken analysis having as references for discussion Young (2000), Santomé (2002), Carvalho (2003) and Roldão (2003) - and the documental research - seeking to evidence the inclusive principles in the Declaration of Salamanca (1994). The generated questionings enable to comprehend aspects about the role of the school in this context, and of the curriculum as a social construction that has a strategic value for the educational changes, specially in the consolidation of the inclusive school. We will observe, however, how much this process is being fiddled, realizing that even over the inclusion speech we still strenghthening the exclusion through the curriculum.
- ItemVamos discordar (Tradução)(2009) VANDENBROECK, MichelWhile respect for diversity was a theme 'on the margins' of the debates on early childhood education in the 1980's, it is at the core of many concerns today. There is an emerging consensus on how to address issues of diversity in early childhood education theory, policy and practice. Yet, it is precisely this consensus that may be worrying. Inspired by post-foundational theory, I argue that dissensus and disagreement are not only inevitable, but are also necessary to foster respect for diversity, not as tolerance towards those who deviate from the norms, but as a deconstruction of the norms that create deviations.

The children and the young persons can be indicative of a city educator so they are actors who come, hear, act and intervene in the urbane space trying to leave marks of his impressions or re-preparing the urbane tracks through his memories. The exercise of floor and to think on the city and in the city they are basic and the urbane ethnography shows up like a methodology adapted for the investigator knows this repertoire. The ways of seeing, hearing and feeling the city and the actions and interventions of different publics show that they rebuild this public space through his memories and inventions and that this space opens how potentially educative for besides the conventional institutions of educating.
