This research reports the challenges of inclusion of students target audience of Special Education (PAEE) in federal schools of Vocational and Technological Education in the city of Santa Maria. This research is characterized by the focal instruments and dialogue group. The locus institutions of this research were two federal EPT schools linked to UFSM and the research subjects were 3 teaching managers from each school, indicated by the pedagogical coordination of the institutions. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic being a challenge to be overcome, this research showed that there was a loss of contact with some students by the managers, inclusive actions in one of the institutions decreased, but in contrast, in that same institution, there were fewer students during the pandemic. It was evident that the institutions made an effort to keep these students active in their classes and courses, as meetings were held, whatsapp groups were created, interpreters were made available for deaf students, classes were recorded, and teachers identified the students’ needs PAEE, without presenting a certificate with CID.
