Biblioteca Comunitária Judite de Sousa Lima, na Terra Indígena Morro Branco - MA: educação e cidadania

Abstract

Objetivamos entender o papel da Biblioteca Comunitária Judite de Sousa Lima, implantada no Centro de Ensino Indígena Djalma Marizê Filho, para aldeia Morro Branco, no município de Grajaú ? MA, após dois anos de funcionamento. A comunidade considera que a implantação da biblioteca proporcionou maior motivação para a prática da leitura, acesso a livros e a pesquisas, a oportunidade de um aprendizado diferenciado por meio da leitura compartilhada. As professoras afirmaram que realizam atividades no local: conto de histórias, roda de leituras, exibição de vídeos, pesquisas, produção de material didático e planejamento de aulas, dentre outras. Concluímos que essa biblioteca se constitui em um espaço de mediação da leitura e de conhecimentos e vem oportunizando acesso à informação, ao lazer e à cultura. Favorece, assim, a formação de cidadãos leitores e pesquisadores e pode colaborar para o desenvolvimento sociocultural da comunidade, além de fortalecer a pertença étnica.We aim to describe the role of Judite de Sousa Lima Community Library, located in the Djalma Marizê Filho Indigenous Teaching Center, Morro Branco Village, Maranhão state, after two years of operation. The eachers affirmed that they carry out activities in the library likestorytelling, reading circle, videos, research, production of didactic material and lesson planning, among others. We conclude that this library constitutes a space of reading mediation and knowledge,and it has provided access to information, leisure and culture,favoring the training of citizens readers and researchers,which could contribute to the socio-cultural development of the community and strengthen the ties of ethnic belongingcommunity considers that the implantation of the library provided greater motivation for the practice of reading, access to books and research, and the opportunity for a differentiated learning through shared reading.
