Abstract

Este artigo trata de como as imagens de Mulher e Trabalho são apresentadas em telenovelas brasileiras na virada do século, gênero televisivo de grande apelo popular. As bases deste artigo encontram-se em uma tese doutoral. As imagens de mulher e trabalho apresentadas representam a inserção no espaço público como uma necessidade com características compatíveis com a sociedade da produção flexível.This article deals with women's images shown at the brazilian soap operas. Assuming that it has a great appeal among the Brazilian audience, the paper aims to discuss how the media represent these women in the turn of the century. The bases of this article can be found in a doctoral thesis. The images of women and work analyzed show the presence of women in the public space as a necessity that reflects the uncertainty and competitiveness of the flexible production society.
