Olhos de lince: o inspetor escolar e a observância da instrução primária em Oliveira, MG (1907)

Abstract

Este artigo visa a, por meio da pesquisa documental, analisar o relatório, emitido em 1907, pelo inspetor técnico de ensino – Francisco de Paula Pinheiro em Oliveira, tendo em vista que, em Minas Gerais, com a reforma João Pinheiro, houve a institucionalização do cargo de inspetor escolar, dividido em administrativo e técnico. Com amparo na história cultural, evidencia-se a importância desse sujeito como uma ponte entre os municípios e o Estado mineiro e sua relevância no que tange à consolidação de uma nova cultura escolar. A partir da sua observância da instrução primária revelam-se aspectos relacionados à vida funcional dos(as) docentes, à estrutura física, mobília e escrituração escolar, bem como à ação desses profissionais diante da reforma republicana.This article aims, through documentary research, to analyze the report, issued in 1907, by the technical teaching inspector – Francisco de Paula Pinheiro em Oliveira, considering that, in Minas Gerais, with the João Pinheiro reform, there was institutionalization of the position of school inspector, divided into administrative and technical. Based on cultural history, the importance of this subject as a bridge between the municipalities and the State of Minas Gerais and its relevance in terms of consolidating a new school culture. From their observance of primary education, aspects related to the functional life of teachers, the physical structure, furniture and school records, as well as the actions of these professionals in the face of the republican reform, are revealed.
