- ItemA origem do petróleo: uma aula no museu de história natural abordando o eixo temático tecnologia e sociedade(2017) PAULA, Augusto A. de; WOUTERS, Lídia; NASCIMENTO JÚNIOR, Antônio FernandesThe present work presents a pedagogical experience developed at the Natural History Museum of the Federal University of Lavras, within the scope of the Science Teaching Methodology discipline of the Biological Sciences degree course, seeking to understand how this dialogue between formal and non-formal education it can provide the construction of knowledge helping students in their comprehensive training. The practice consisted of a guided tour of the Museum and a video that discussed the issue of the implications of the origin and use of oil. At the end of the practice, students were asked to write an assessment that was used to analyze the work. Categorization, a method derived from content analysis, was used to verify the potential of this established dialogue. From the analysis, it was possible to perceive the effectiveness in the knowledge construction process and, in addition, the contribution of the activity in teacher education was noticeable.
- ItemContribuições do PIBID - biologia da Universidade Federal de Lavras para a formação continuada de professores(2017) MELO, José Sebastião Andrade de; NASCIMENTO JÚNIOR, Antônio FernandesAmong the possible contributions of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation to Teaching for the initial training of undergraduates, the incentive to the teaching career is highlighted. As for the contributions of this program to the training of active teachers, few reflections are found in the specific literature. The object of study chosen in this research was the action proposal elaborated by the Pibid team, a Biology subproject at the Federal University of Lavras. Through the documentary analysis of the final reports of the Pibid-Biology of UFLA in the years 2014 and 2015, we sought to investigate what were the contributions of this program to the continuing education of supervisor teachers working in the public basic education network in the municipality of Lavras- MG It was concluded that the program brought significant contributions to the training of these professionals, with emphasis on learning to work with cross-cutting themes in the teaching of biology and in environmental education practices.
- ItemExperimento em sala de aula: a construção do conceito de comportamento elétrico da matéria(2017) REZENDE, Carla C.; NASARÉ, Laís A.; PAULA, Augusto A. de; NASCIMENTO JÚNIOR, Antônio FernandesThis paper presents and discusses a pedagogical experience developed in the scope of the Science Teaching Methodology discipline of the Biological Sciences degree course at the Federal University of Lavras, Minas Gerais, (UFLA), seeking to understand how to use the experiment in the classroom. class helps in the appropriation of knowledge and, in addition, to understand how the discipline helps in teacher training. The practice consisted of building the concept of electrical behavior of matter from an experiment with balloons. At the end of the practice developed, students were asked to write an evaluation of the activity. The analysis was made from this written evaluation, where categorization was used, a method derived from content analysis. Still, the work seeks to contribute, minimally, with discussions about the educational context.

The activity allowed for the construction of knowledge about the themes of Homeostasis and Stress, addressing the transversal theme of Work and Consumption. In the development of the practice, the film Tempos Modernos (1936) by filmmaker Charles Chaplin was used. To interpret the results, content analysis and speech categorization were used. The constructed categories were: teaching performance, pedagogical resource and evaluation method. The construction of physiological concepts through the aforementioned film proved to be exciting, as it is a work that portrays the reality of work in the midst of the industrial revolution, allowing for reflection on the physiology of the body and the reality of work. Thus, it was possible to perceive cinema as an interesting resource in the teaching-learning process.
- ItemUma análise das avaliações dos alunos da disciplina de metodologia do ensino de biologia(2017) LOURENÇO, Camila Oliveira Lourenço; NASCIMENTO JÚNIOR, Antônio FernandesThe present work proposes to carry out an analysis of the evaluations of students in the discipline of Biology Teaching Methodology of the Biological Sciences Degree course at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Minas Gerais, in order to understand the importance of the themes content, knowledge of the student, pedagogical resources and assessment for the profession of future teachers. Student assessment was analyzed through content analysis and speech categorization. The categories indicated correspond to the themes analyzed in this work. From these, it can be concluded that the contents are fundamental in the construction of the student's scientific knowledge, as well as the students' prior knowledge. In addition, pedagogical resources are characterized as important in the construction of this knowledge, as they are interactive and attractive, and assessment is an interesting tool in the perception of this knowledge built in the classroom.
