As transformações históricas do pós-guerra possibilitaram o desenvolvimento dos meios de produção mas, trouxe em seu cerne, graves consequências para o biodiversidade, impactos profundos no ser humano e no meio ambiente. O Brasil influenciou e foi influenciado por novas discussões relativas ao paradigma do Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Ao longo das últimas décadas, eventos internacionais, pesquisas científicas e movimentos sociais de preservação travaram lutas políticas, coletivas, que culminaram em avanços nas legislações ambientais. Porém, essa compreensão crítica e interdisciplinar não se fizeram presentes no campo da educação ambiental brasileira. A presente pesquisa objetivou a recuperação dessas relações, numa perspectiva interdisciplinar, trazendo para o centro da educação escolar a superação necessária de uma perspectiva individualista que não alcança a complexidade da luta brasileira na preservação ambiental, incluindo as novas gerações nos desafios coletivos/políticos frente a preservação ambiental brasileira.
The post-war historical transformations made possible the development of themeans of production but, at its heart, brought serious consequences for biodiversity, profound impacts on human beings and the environment. Brazil influenced and was influenced by new discussions related to the Sustainable Development paradigm. Over the last few decades, international events, scientific research and social movements for preservation have waged political, collective struggles, which culminated in advances in environmental legislation. However, this critical and interdisciplinary understanding was not present in the field of Brazilian environmental education. The present research aimed to recover these relationships, in an interdisciplinary perspective, bringing to the center of school education the necessary overcoming of an individualistic perspective that does not reach the complexity of the Brazilian struggle in environmental preservation, including the new generations in the collective/political challenges facing Brazilian environmental preservation.
