Histórias e memórias da população negra como possibilidade de repensar a teoria e prática educativa

Abstract

Este artigo é resultado de uma pesquisa sobre a exclusão das histórias e memórias da população negra no sistema educativo brasileiro. Analisamos os processos de invisibilidade das contribuições sócio históricas da população negra e concluímos que estes processos de exclusão contribuíram negativamente para a sociedade como um todo. A partir de histórias de vida de antigos moradores da cidade de Carapicuíba-SP, pudemos vislumbrar a memória e história da população negra como possibilidade de repensar a teoria e prática educativa.This article is the result of a research on the exclusion of stories and memories of the black population in the Brazilian education system. We analyzed the processes of social invisibility of historical contributions of black people and concluded that these processes of exclusion contributed negatively to the society as a whole. Out of life stories of former residents of the city of Carapicuíba in Sao Paulo, we couldcatch a glimpse ofthe memory and history of the black population as a possibility of rethinking the theory and practice in education.
