“Professor, o senhor gosta de mulher?”: as performances e as performatividades de professores gays

Abstract

Apresentam-se, neste artigo, as narrativas docentes de dois professores gays atuantes na cidade de Mamanguape, PB. O objetivo consiste em estudar as performances desenvolvidas por eles no espaço escolar bem como os seus trânsitos dentro dos muros educativos. Tomou-se, como opção metodológica, a pesquisa narrativa, e, para geração de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas com os professores. Os resultados do estudo sinalizaram para um espaço educativo ainda vinculado aos padrões heteronormativos, mas atravessado por movimentos de rupturas, como a presença, em seu interior, dos docentes gays, que, ao desenvolverem suas performances dentro dos muros escolares, podem construir discursos outros, capazes de romper com os estereótipos socialmente difundidos sobre as homossexualidades.In this article, we present the teaching narratives of two gay teachers, working in the city of Mamanguape - PB. Our objective is to infer about the performances developed by them in the school space, and how they have transited within the educational walls. We took narrative research as a methodological option and for data generation interviews were conducted with teachers. The results of the study pointed to an educational space still linked to heteronormative standards, but crossed by movements of rupture, such as the presence of gay teachers in its interior, who, when developing their performances within the school walls, can build other discourses that break with the socially widespread stereotypes about homosexuality.
