Educação musical em classes hospitalares: análise das representações sociais de profissionais dos hospitais

Abstract

Este artigotem por objetivo discutir as representações sociais da educação musical em classes hospitalaresda rede municipal de ensino de Salvador. A análise dos dados, feita com base na teoria das representações sociais de Serge Moscovici, revelaque os profissionais dos hospitais, apesar de sinalizarem a função educativa da música, em geral, associam a educação musical a uma atividade terapêutica, que visa proporcionar a elevação da autoestima, a diminuição da ansiedade, alegria e o alívio da dor. Observa-se que os sentidos atribuídos ao ensino de música em classes hospitalares de Salvador distanciam-se da perspectiva de teóricos que se debruçam sobre o campo da educação musical.This article aims discuss the social representations of the musical education on hospital classes from Salvador’s municipal education net.The data analysis, made based on the social representations theory of Serge Moscovici, reveal that the hospital professionals, although they set forth the educative function from the music, in general, the musical education is related to therapeutic activities, which pretends to provide high self-esteem, the anxiety reduction, happiness and pain relief. Is observed that the senses assigned to music teaching in hospital’sclasses of Salvador have quite a distance from the theoretical perspective that are working on the musical education field.
