Entre a realidade e a fantasia: práticas educativas relatadas por pais e filmes infantis

Abstract

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi compreender os estilos parentais, presentes nos filmes de família contemporâneos e nas entrevistas realizadas com os pais. Partiu-se da premissa de que a mídia infantil explora conteúdos morais, socialmente compartilhados, instigando, sutilmente, modelos educacionais, propensos a serem seguidos pela sociedade. Subdividiu-se o trabalho em: análise do conteúdo de animações infantis, análise das entrevistas dos pais e uma avaliação cuidadosa desses mesmos dados, realizada por um juiz independente. Entendeu-se que as mudanças comportamentais dos personagens/pais das animações retratam figuras participativas, explicitando a influência da mídia através da moral da história. Os pais entrevistados apresentaram, principalmente, um estilo parental participativo. Esta pesquisa traz implicações sobre os valores transmitidos pela mídia e contribui para reflexões sobre as relações que os pais estabelecem com seus filhos.

The objective of this research project was to understand parentalstyles present in contemporary family films and in interviews with parents. It was based on the premise that when children's media explores moral issues, itscontent is shared by the society at all.This becomes a subtle model of education that is prone to be followed by society.The workwas subdivided into analysis of the content of children's animations,analysis of parent’s interviews,and a careful evaluation of these same data, performed by an independent judge. It was understood that the characters/parents’ behavioral changes inthe animations portray participativefigureshighlightingthe media influence through the story’s moral. The parents interviewed mainly presented a participativeparental style. This research hasimplications onthe values transmitted by the mediaand contributesto reflections on the relationships that parents establish with their children.
