Políticas de educação escolar em ambientes hospitalares: em defesa da escola no hospital

Abstract

Este artigo traz reflexões sobre uma tentativa de criar uma classe hospitalar em um hospital universitário e suas interlocuções com as discussões sobre a constituição de políticas de educação escolar em ambientes hospitalares, particularmente os documentos que desencadearam as políticas de educação para todos, destacando-se a educação especial, e os debates sobre os direitos educacionais das crianças e adolescentes hospitalizadas presentes na literatura sobre o tema, demonstrando que embora haja fundamentos legais que sustentem a oferta da referida modalidade educacional, os atores sociais envolvidos precisam enfrentar as adversidades dos contextos em que atuam e abrir as cenas políticas de luta pela garantia da educação escolar como direito das crianças e adolescentes hospitalizadas.This article reflects on an experiment that sought to implement teaching classes for children and adolescents hospitalized in the university hospital and its dialogues and reflections on the formation of public policy for education in hospital settings. Its examines the documents that unleashed the education for all policies, particularly special education, and reflections on the educational rights of children and adolescents hospitalized or convalescing at home present in the literature on the subject, demonstrating that although there are legal grounds that support the provision of the referred educational modality and some efforts for its institution, the social actors involved must open the political fight scene to ensure education as a right of hospitalized children and adolescents.
