Situado no âmbito da História e da Filosofia da Educação, o artigo busca identificar os interesses de classe contidos nas reformas educacionais que entraram em vigor no contexto do recrudescimento da crise da sociabilidade capitalista, em particular os relativos ao Novo Ensino Médio. Com apoio na pedagogia histórico-crítica, destaca a indefinição que, historicamente, caracteriza o Ensino Médio brasileiro e a presença do setor empresarial nas políticas públicas que o determinam. Apresenta os aspectos do Novo Ensino Médio que beneficiam os interesses privados e empresariais e anuncia as consequências já observadas desde sua implementação. As fontes – leis, projetos e pareceres – são analisadas à luz do materialismo histórico-dialético. Conclui pela indeterminação nos rumos do Novo Ensino Médio, haja vista as contradições que marcam a retomada do social-liberalismo no executivo nacional.
Situated within the scope of History and Philosophy of Education, the article seeks to identify the class interests contained in the educational reforms that came into force in the context of the resurgence of the crisis of capitalist sociability, in particular those relating to the New Secondary Education. With support from historical-critical pedagogy, it highlights the lack of definition that, historically, characterizes Brazilian high school and the presence of the business sector in the public policies that determine it. It presents the aspects of the New Secondary Education that benefit private and business interests and announces the consequences already observed since its implementation. The sources - laws, projects and opinions – are analyzed in the light of historical-dialectical materialism. It concludes that the direction of the New Secondary Education is indeterminate, given the contradictions that mark the resumption of social-liberalism in the national executive.
