Dono de uma das obras literárias mais expressivas da América Latina no século XX, Jorge Luís Borges exibe ao leitor do conto La escritura del dios uma escrita labiríntica que resgata mitos e elementos sagrados, desenvolvidos por um fio ficcional preso entre a história e o fantástico. Diante da teoria de Ricardo Piglia sobre o caráter duplo dos contos, este trabalho visa analisar o conto La escritura del dios, tendo como principal eixo teórico a tese de que todo conto conta duas histórias – uma mais à superfície do texto, e outra mais reclusa. Observaremos a atuação e a ficcionalização dos mitos e da história da civilização Maia, operadas pelo escritor argentino, tentando traçar seus torneios estruturais, ao mesmo tempo em que iremos apontar as trajetórias de cada “história” dentro do conto, apontando indícios de cruzamento e revelação entre as histórias. Assim, apontamos que a teoria do conto, balizada em nosso trabalho por Piglia, ajuda-nos a perceber os caminhos narrativos da obra, mas não perdemos de vista que o trabalho de Borges dribla a própria sistematização teórica ao usar, em especial, a potencialidade sígnica do mito.
Owner of one of the most expressive literary works in Latin America in the 20th century, Jorge Luís Borges shows the reader of the short story Lascrita del dios a labyrinthine writing that rescues myths and sacred elements, developed by a fictional thread trapped between history and the fantastic. Faced with Ricardo Piglia's theory on the double character of short stories, this work aims to analyze the short story Lascrita del dios, having as its main theoretical axis the thesis that every short story tells two stories – one more on the surface of the text, and the other more reclusive . We will observe the performance and fictionalization of myths and the history of the Mayan civilization, operated by the Argentine writer, trying to trace their structural tournaments, while we will point out the trajectories of each "story" within the tale, pointing out signs of crossing and revelation between stories. Thus, we point out that the theory of the short story, guided in our work by Piglia, helps us to understand the narrative paths of the work, but we do not lose sight of the fact that Borges' work circumvents its own theoretical systematization by using, in particular, its potential. sign of the myth.
