Educação sexual escolar: percepção dos alunos e professores

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as percepções que os alunos e professores têm sobre o tema educação sexual, pontuando os desafios e a importância do tema para o ambiente escolar. E recorreu-se à abordagem qualitativa. Os dados foram recolhidos através da técnica de entrevista estruturada aplicada a oito alunos da 11ª classe e a oito da 12ª classe; quatro professores e um director. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida numa das escolas da Província de Manica, localizadas na cidade de Chimoio-Moçambique. Os resultados revelam que existe um número significativo de alunos que ainda é leigo em matérias que versam sobre a educação sexual. Ademais, outros resultados indicam que os professores têm receio em abordar assuntos que se referem a sexualidade, diversidade sexual e a género devido a preconceito.The purpose of this article is to analyze the perceptions that students and teachers have on the topic of sex education, highlighting the challenges and importance of the topic for the school environment. And a qualitative approach was used. Data were collected through the structured interview technique applied to eight students from the 11th grade and eight from the 12th grade; four teachers and a director. The research was carried out in one of the schools in the Province of Manica, located in the city of Chimoio-Mozambique. The results reveal that there is a significant number of students who are still lay people in matters that deal with sex education. In addition, other results indicate that teachers are afraid to address issues related to sexuality, sexual diversity and gender due to prejudice.
