Entre a materialidade do livro e a interatividade do leitor: práticas de leitura

Abstract

By asking if books have had the same meanings and roles to humans at differents times and places, this text is intended to understand the varied purposes assigned to the book as read concrete support. In this context, the work aims to establish in a restrict way a bit of book history and to highlight how and how much the materiality of this object can be linked to reader and be a trigger for practices of reading over the time. So that, the work is supported by Chartier (1990, 1994, 1998, 1999) and Darnton (1990) studies about the book history and materiality.Ao questionar se os livros tiveram os mesmos sentidos e funções para os homens, em diferentes tempos e lugares, este texto assume como objetivo compreender as variadas finalidades atribuídas ao livro como suporte material de leitura. Neste contexto, o trabalho procurará traçar, de maneira restrita, um pouco da história do livro e destacar o como e o quanto a materialidade desse objeto, em suportes distintos, pode estar relacionada com o leitor e ser desencadeadora de práticas de leitura no decorrer do tempo. Para tanto, o trabalho fundamenta-se nos estudos de Chartier (1990, 1994, 1998, 1999) e de Darnton (1990) sobre a história e a materialidade do livro.
