    Goodnight. I sincerely thank the organizers, in the figure of Pedro Pagni and his team, for the invitation to participate in this table and also for the work to organize the event in such a careful and serious way. Although my title may suggest the opposite, I am going to make an unpretentious and, at the same time, affirmative speech, which will seek to affirm a certain shift in the title suggested for our table. In this presentation, I'm not going to read a text, to be somewhat coherent with what I'm going to say. You will probably understand, only at the end, why I didn't read it and also why I kept moving to follow along with gestures the ideas I want to share with you. The form is intended to speak as much as the content.

    Entre nós, em defesa de uma escola

    In this text, I try to clarify some aspects of the defense of the school undertaken by J. Masschelein and M. Simons in In defense of the school, as well as to incorporate some elements from another tradition, the popular school of Simón Rodríguez. The broader aim is to strengthen the problematizing effects of the theses of the Belgian authors and make them even more resounding for our context. For this, in the "Presentation" I place the importance of this debate in the current scenario of Brazilian education. In "In defense of the school" I present the main theses of the book as well as the specific character of the proposal of the Belgian authors concerning the relations between school and politics. In "In defense of defense: a political vision?" I contextualize the main authors who have influenced the work of J. Masschelein and M. Simons and detail the specific way in which it would stand in opposition to proposals like "School without Party" that synthesizes the actual Education Policy of the Brazilian Government. In "The invention of a school between us" I introduce some elements of the proposal of the popular school of Simón Rodríguez, in particular its emphasis in invention and attention. Finally, in “Final Considerations” I bring the idea of “errantry” in the affirmation of a school between usinspired by M. Serres, Le Tiers-Instruit.

    Sobre as meninices de Paulo Freire mais do que nunca e as nossas: entrevista com Walter Omar Kohan

    Paulo Freire teve sua trajetória atravessada por cinco princípios levantados por Walter Kohan: a vida, a igualdade, o amor, a errância e a infância. Arrisco afirmar, que nosso entrevistado também tem seguido esses mesmos passos. Kohan é professor titular da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, doutor em filosofia pela Universidad Iberoamericana, autor de inúmeros artigos e livros que destacam sempre a filosofia e a infância. Walter nasceu na Argentina e desembarcou em terras brasileiras cinco dias após a morte de Freire. Para fazer uma biografia filosófica de Paulo Freire, nosso autor se “exilou” no Canadá. Quem pensa que o livro é uma biografia comum, está enganado, já que esta obra procura ir além, procurando ser sensível à essência dialógica do pensamento de nosso “andarilho da utopia”.

    Sócrates, la filosofia y su enseñanza. Actualidad de una invención

    The philosophy is born with Socrates. Best, a philosophy born,some related to movement of thought and word. And also somechallenges arise. Because the birth of philosophy evolved bySocrates exceeds its time and tells us connected to our present; ifthe reader is a philosophy teacher, we would say also that Socratesphilosophy born wrapped in a series of paradoxes that help thinkingabout their conditions and limits. In this text we intend to think some of these challenges, without the pretense of giving accountof a historical figure but to find a partner first, a beginning to thinkour present.
