Abstract

O recurso a alguns motivos, que levaram Max Horkheimer a elaborar sua Teoria Crítica, providencia o fio condutor para apontar alguns dos pressupostos mais questionáveis da Pedagogia hoje em voga, a qual se alimenta dos impulsos por esse autor, assim chamada de Teoria Tradicional. Entre as falhas mais graves dessa teoria no contexto pedagógico constam a virada empirista, o conceito ambíguo de competência e a cegueira referente ao enraizamento das diretrizes pedagógicas no status quo da sociedade (neo)liberal. É a partir da legitimação do olhar crítico, defendido por Horkheimer, que se propõem algumas correções profundas na construção do espaço pedagógico.Going back to some motives which caused the elaboration of Critical The-ory, we gain an idea of some of the most questionable pressupositions of actual Pe-dagogy, a Pedagogy that got its impulses from a cientific conception called by Max Horkheimer Traditional Theory. Within the most serious failures of this theory, he identifies the empiristic turn, an ambivalent concept of competition and the blindness of the modern pedagogical framework in respect of its compromise with the actual status of (neo)liberal society. Its within this critical perspective of Horkheimer that will be proposed some profound corrections of the pedagogical space.
