A neuropsicopedagogia é uma ciência multidisciplinar que envolve diversas áreas e seus fundamentos podem ser utilizados com sucesso no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de alunos autistas. Pensando nisso, esta pesquisa teve como principal objetivo conhecer a utilização da neuropsicopedagogia como ferramenta no auxílio da aprendizagem de alunos autistas no ensino formal das escolas no município de Tapira-MG. Portanto, foram aplicados questionários semiestruturados com os professores da rede municipal de ensino da referida cidade que atuam diretamente com alunos autistas. A cidade possui 5 alunos autistas diagnosticados e 5 professores que atuam diretamente com tais alunos, sendo que todos os professores aceitaram participar da pesquisa. Em relação ao perfil dos professores, constatou-se que a maioria possui muitos anos de experiência com docência, mas que tiveram pouco ou nenhum contato, durante sua formação, com disciplinas relacionadas à neuropsicopedagogia. Ainda assim, foi possível identificar em suas falas, aspectos que possuem afinidades com os fundamentos desta ciência, como a adaptação do ambiente, e a importância de considerar as especificidades de cada aluno e também buscar meios para o seu estímulo cerebral. A pesquisa também mostra a importância de renovar a formação docente de modo que os professores possam, desde o início de seus estudos, ter contato com os fundamentos da neuropsicopedagogia, que irão ajudá-los nos desafios próprios do trabalho com alunos autistas.
Neuropsychopedagogy is a multidisciplinary science that involves several areas and its fundamentals can be successfully used in the teaching and learning process of autistic students. With this in mind, this research had as its main objective to know the use of neuropsychopedagogy as a tool to aid the learning of autistic students in formal education in schools in the municipality of Tapira-MG. Therefore, semi-structured questionnaires were applied to teachers of the municipal school system of that city who work directly with autistic students. The town has 5 diagnosed autistic students and 5 teachers who work directly with such students, and all teachers agreed to participate in the research. Regarding the profile of the teachers, it was found that most of them have many years of teaching experience, but had little or no contact, during their training, with subjects related to neuropsychopedagogy. Even so, it was possible to identify in their statements aspects that have affinities with the fundamentals of this science, such as the adaptation of the environment and the importance of considering the specificities of each student and also seeking their brain stimulation. The research also shows the importance of renewing teacher training so that teachers can, since the beginning of their studies, have contact with the fundamentals of neuropsychopedagogy, which will help them in the challenges of working with autistic students.
