As instâncias sociais numa aula experimental de química no 9º ano do ensino fundamental

Abstract

This paper seeks to present and discuss the social instances of knowledge in an experimental class, whose theme was "The corals and the physical and chemical processes", taught in a class of the ninth grade of elementary school in a school in São Bento doSul, Santa Catarina, Brasil. The research focused on the analysis of social instances in the classroom with the objective of formal instruction on the stages of two experiments called "The recycling of chalk" and "The reaction of vinegar with chalk". The construction and justification of knowledge were carried out by the teacher with the use of audiovisual resources and the presentation of communicative strategies aimed at teaching and interaction with the whole class. Discursive segments of the teacher were selected and grouped into three subcategories: production, communication and knowledge evaluation. The six discursive episodes investigated were chosen based on the identification of segments in which there was a greater degree of interaction between the teacher and the students. The results obtained presented qualitative and quantitative character and contribute to understand the social instances prioritized in the classroom, the process of construction and evaluation of knowledge, besides the ways and strategies of orientation and support of the teacher in relation to the learning processes of the class.

Este trabalho busca apresentar e discutir as instâncias sociais do conhecimento em uma aula experimental, cujo tema foi “Os corais e os processos físicos e químicos”, ministrada numa classe do nono ano do ensino fundamental em uma escola de São Bento do Sul, em Santa Catarina. A pesquisa focalizou na análise das instâncias sociais em sala de aula tendo como objetivo a instrução formal quanto às etapas de dois experimentos denominados “A reciclagem do giz” e “A reação do vinagre com o giz”. A construção e a justificação do conhecimento foram realizadas pela professora com o uso de recursos audiovisuais e a apresentação de estratégias comunicativas que visaram o ensino e a interação com toda a turma. Foram selecionados segmentos discursivos da professora e agrupados em três subcategorias: produção, comunicação e avaliação do conhecimento. Os seis episódios discursivos investigados foram escolhidos com base na identificação de segmentos em que houve maior grau de interação entre a professora e os estudantes. Os resultados encontrados podem contribuir para compreender as instâncias sociais priorizadas em sala de aula, o processo de construção e avaliação do conhecimento, além dos modos e estratégias de orientação e suporte da professora em relação aos processos de aprendizagem da turma.
