A LEGISLAÇÃO PARA O ENSINO DE ARTE E MÚSICA (1985-2008)

Abstract

O presente artigo teve por objetivo analisar a situação do ensino de arte e música na legislação brasileira entre os anos 1985 e 2008. Foram analisados quatro documentos oficiais educacionais: a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases (LDB) n. 9.394 de 1996, os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs) de 1997-1998, as Diretrizes Curriculares para o ensino superior de música, e a Lei n. 11.769 de 2008, que torna o ensino de música obrigatório nas escolas brasileiras. Objetivou-se traçar um panorama da situação atual da legislação acerca do ensino de arte e música, avaliando a importância e as inconsistências desse conteúdo nas escolas brasileiras.This paper aimed to verify the situation of art and music teaching in Bra-zilian legislation between the years 1985 and 2008. Four official educational do-cuments were analysed: the 1996 Law of Guidelines and Bases (LDB) n. 9.394, the 1997-1998 National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) the Curriculum Guidelines for higher education of music and the Law n. 11.769, of 2008 which makes music educa-tion mandatory in Brazilian schools.
