    Planejamento de sistemas educacionais: confiabilidade e flezibilidade

    This paper discusses the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model utilized in a project of development of instructional materials online for English as a Foreign Language educators of the public school system of Joaçaba-SC. The generic model used in the project consists of five phases: (1) Analysis; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; and (5) Evaluation. It is claimed that, although there is the possibility of misuse of the model and the consequent decline of the production process, the model serves as a trustworthy and flexible guideline, being the designer's responsibility to adapt it according to the particular circumstances of each project. In this sense, the generic model may help the development of effective training that fulfill the needs of the participants and make them co-responsible for their own continued education
