    Processos de ensino e aprendizagem matemática para a EJA mediados por materiais didáticos

    In our pedagogical practice, Youth and Adult Education has been attracting our attention, especially when we conceive processes of teaching/mediation of mathematics learning based on different methodologies. When we identified in these young and adult students with particularities and expectations of significant learning and who sometimes have difficulties in appropriating mathematical concepts, the desire to study the teaching materials emerged, aiming, for these students, to construct the meaning of the techniques " go one” and “borrow” when operating the natural numbers. This article seeks to highlight our reflections on the contributions of the golden material in this process. Among the authors who support our discussions, Lellis and Imenes (1994), Lorenzato (2006) and Januario (2008a, 2008b) stand out – by highlighting the potential of teaching materials – and Ausubel (1976, 2003) – by contributing to the theory of Meaningful Learning. We hope that, at the end of the reading, this text will lead the reader to reflect on the autonomy of each student and the teacher's attitude when proposing different situations in classes.
