- ItemReflexiones acerca de las prácticas docentes desde la perpectiva de la teoria de las representaciones sociales(2008) SEIDMAN, Susana; THOMÉ, Sandra; DI IORIO, Jorgelina; AZZOLLINI, SuzanaAn exploratory research was carried out with the objective of describing the contents of the social representations about the teaching of elementary school teachers (EPB), as well as the processes of objectification and anchoring of these representations. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 teachers from schools in the province of Buenos Aires, selected through an intentional non-probabilistic sampling. Data were analyzed qualitatively and for systematization and coding the Atlas.ti software was used. The results indicate that the daily life of the teacher is defined by the tension established between the pedagogical logic, which assumes an autonomous and creative action, and the bureaucratic logic, characterized by subordination and obedience to authority. It was observed that in the objectification process, the emphasis on the affective would evidence the presence of collective defensive mechanisms, which have the function of containing or masking the anxiety and dissatisfaction associated with salaried work, and which materialize in the idea of vocation, based on the which the image of teaching as an apostolate emerges. The anchoring of the representation appears linked to three dimensions: temporal, polarizing between teachers from before and now; institutional, according to performance either in public or private schools; and evaluative, related to the degree of professionalization.
