The paper presents conceptual aspects of networks and social networks, emphasizing that the structure and the interaction and intermediation relationship among the links of the network drive changes in information flow. Describes the Analysis of Social Networks (ARS) methodology, indicating how it can be used in the Information Science to understand the information flows, that shape and re-shape the social networks, starting from the structure of relationships.
- ItemFluxo de informação na perspectiva do ambiente em rede(2013) SUGAHARA, Cibele Roberta; VERGUEIRO, Waldomiro de Castro SantosIn the Information Science field, studying the information flow requires an attentive look to the circulation of the information, considering the practices used towards information exchange between direct contacts and intermediaries. This study discusses the exchange of information in the network environment Textiles Local Productive Arrangement (APL) Americana / SP. For this, it uses the method of Social Network Analysis (ARS) to identify the role that each link plays in the structure of social network. The results indicate that the information flow in the APL Textile network presents a higher intensity mainly by linkages with few interactions. This allows the information to reach the extremities of the network, and also, the exchange of information with a high degree of novelty. The network environment makes possible the interaction among its components, occurring in accordance to specific interests, which are recognized or questioned by the peers.

Under the methodological aspect, it is a theoretical discussion based on literature that seeks to recover concepts related to Big Data and Intelligent Software Agent, identifying characteristics that if automated, can contribute to the process of search and analysis of relevant data and information for the preparation and monitoring of the Business Strategic Planning. Finally, it demonstrates that in the intersection of these concepts is possible to observe a system of Competitive Intelligence and Organizational that can be expanded and evolved to use the features of Big Data and Intelligent Software Agent, allowing one to build as a result of the discussion, the model proposed.

The methodology used was the literature research, which looked after the definition of key concepts, identify the relationship between Corporate Strategic Planning, Organizational and Competitive Intelligence and Information Systems. As a contribution it presented a proposed Organizational and Competitive Intelligence System, detailed in stages and steps, which shows how the preparation and monitoring of the Corporate Strategic Planning can be better conducted.
