Aplicação do software Zotero para apoiar a prática de Inteligência Competitiva
(2012) ROSSI, Jandira Ferreira de Jesus; PASSARINI, Luis Carlos; FARIA, Leandro Innocentini Lopes de
In early 2000, the literature reported the impossibility of finding and using software for the collaboration and sharing through the Internet to support the practice of Competitive Inteligence (CI) in all of its cycle's phases. However, there is software which can be applied in various phases. Nonetheless, the software lack when it comes to activities realized during the phases of collection and analyses which required human reading of documents. Generally, the software is not able to analyze purely qualitative data in the cycle phases of CI. Because of this, it is important to study the ones which have a collaborative nature and understand how effective they can be for CI. This article reports a survey of software which potentially can aid in the works of CI, its selection by the NIT/Materiais from the UFSCar (São Carlos Federal University) and the application of the software Zotero by collectors and analysts. To evaluate Zotero, an experiment simulating a project of CI was carried out with the use of the software and without it. The simulation had the participation of two groups from different locations which communicated only through the Internet. The results confirmed that the software Zotero effectively aided the collectors and analysts in their activities.
