    O papel do professor junto ao aluno com atlas habilidades

    When Special Education is discussed, it is common, in the first moment, to remember the student that is part of the special at Education such as that with mental, auditive, visual or physical disability. However, these children as well as the high ability students need a specialized service because they are individuals of Special Education as well. Thus, this article presents the definition of high ability students, the theory of a North American researcher and, as the main focus, some issues concerning teachers and their more direct involvement with the high ability students in the classroom. Such matters are related to learning of these students as well as the factors, which are part of the process, teaching strategies and importance of high ability students' identification.
