    O filme "Tempos modernos" como recurso pedagógico no ensino dos conceitos de homeostase e estresse

    This paper aims to report an activity developed in the discipline of Biology Teaching Methodology in the Biological Sciences Degree course at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Minas Gerais. The activity allowed for the construction of knowledge about the themes of Homeostasis and Stress, addressing the transversal theme of Work and Consumption. In the development of the practice, the film Tempos Modernos (1936) by filmmaker Charles Chaplin was used. To interpret the results, content analysis and speech categorization were used. The constructed categories were: teaching performance, pedagogical resource and evaluation method. The construction of physiological concepts through the aforementioned film proved to be exciting, as it is a work that portrays the reality of work in the midst of the industrial revolution, allowing for reflection on the physiology of the body and the reality of work. Thus, it was possible to perceive cinema as an interesting resource in the teaching-learning process.
