    Problematizando categorias de enredo do livro didático de ciências

    The work is characterized by the analysis of the plot of Elementary School Science textbooks, aiming to identify errors and gaps, as well as the conceptions of Science, teaching and how this influences the curriculum in action in schools. This was a qualitative documental and bibliographic research. Textbooks from the 7th year of Elementary School Sciences were analyzed and categorized based on thematic content analysis. The categories identified were: simplification, reproductive science, Anthropocentrism, infantilized language, analogies, hominization, discrimination/prejudice, gender problems and generalizations. We can see that the textbook, despite being the holder of institutionalized knowledge, still brings errors, gaps and conceptions of Science and Teaching that are often mistaken. Thus, it emphasizes the relevance of research having the textbook as the theme, as well as the approach to the theme in the initial and continuing education of Science teachers.
