From the critical historical framework, some interpretative categories are presented and demonstrate the scenario of acceleration of training and its consequences in the conception and design of formal education processes. The study considers the social, historical and political context of professional training in Ecuador and seeks to show its consequences. The analyzes demonstrate the approximation of the university to the labor context and the contradiction between the needs for humanistic training for complex environments and the utilitarian training for maintaining the operational demands of the market.
