- ItemEducação e a cultura da informática(2008) AMARILLA FILHO, PorfirioHaving the characteristic of being "friendly", computing attempts to minimize and facilitate human actions. Nowadays, it occupies space in the universe of the layman, adding to his/her needs a new set of concepts and symbols. Almost obligatory, computing has become an essential element for human action. Taking this into account, this practice attempts to analyse, according to concepts of Education Philosophy and considering the context of advanced technology and human praxis, the relationships that this new universe of symbols represents for education and contemporary human action. The aim is also to bring to the research of Education Philosophy the question of computing. The proposal is not to evaluate the ´usefulness´ of computing in Education, but to make fundamental concepts explicit in the culture of computing and its relations with the praxis and Education. Its main role is to collaborate with information from new elements to the educator, proposing a philosophical reflection concerning the aspects and problems of human development faced with this new technology.
