    Sobre diversão e aventura no turismo: disciplina, consumo, infantilização

    Supported by the critical concept of Cultural Industry we intend to put in question the notions of adventure and fun that circumscribe the modern travel imaginary, including those organized under the tourist model. For this, we followed-up four excursionsin Southern Region of Brazil and interviewed 15 tourists. The results show that: the security provided by excursion difficult meeting with the newand the other, both inherent to adventure; tourism provides disciplining mechanisms, promotes a kind of oriented fun that tourists voluntarily subordinate themselves to. By ensuring fun and discourage adventure, tourism infantilizes travelers, determining stiffening subjective experiences.
