- ItemO coração tem razões que a própria razão desconhece(2002) THOMÉ, NilsonIn our studies that aim at the construction of the History of Education in the Contestado (1), within the History of Education of the State of Santa Catarina, we refer to Dr. João Alfredo Medeiros Vieira, one of the most outstanding writers from Santa Catarina in the second half of the 20th century, with works in Literature, Philosophy, Philology and Law, author of the famous “A Judge's Prayer”, translated into more than forty languages. In the distant year of 1956, João Alfredo Medeiros Vieira was Supervisor of the 4th Census Zone of the VI General Census of Santa Catarina. He was, therefore, one of the “itinerant agents” of the IBGE, in charge of advising municipal agents on data collection. In this mission, he arrived in the Contestado Region, when he visited the west of Santa Catarina.
- ItemOpção pelos pobres: no contestado e na teologia da libertação de Maria Bernadete de Albuquerque Campos(2002) THOMÉ, NilsonWe present the epistemological analysis of a scientific production, in the case of the Master's Thesis, in a 116-page volume, by Maria Bernadete de Albuquerque Campos, under the theme of the “Contestado War” with the title “Option for the Poor: in the Contestado and in the Liberation Theology”, memory that would be presented in 1984 to the Graduate School of Social Sciences, of the São Paulo School of Sociology and Politics Foundation, as a partial requirement for obtaining a Master's Degree in Science – History, having as advisor the Prof. Dr. Valmor Bolan.
