    O processo de constituir-se professor na relação objetividade-subjetividadesignificações acerca da mediação social na escolha pela docência

    We analyze in this article meanings and senses produced by teachers about their historical course of development, in order to understand the whitch were determinants for these professionals to have been constituted teachers of Basic Educacion. 29 teachers participated in the study, who work in the final grades of Elementary School. To construct the information, the questionnaire was used, and, as an analytical procedure, a discursive textual analysis was carried out in what Moraes (2003) proposes. In order to obtain a greater refinement of the categories that emerged from the meanings produced by the teachers, the Australian software Nudist was used. The research results pointed out that the historical development movement of these professionals has been constituted in the dialectical relation objectivity-subjectivity, revealing the contradictions existing and constitute the choices of the individuals.
