- ItemEnforques teóricos en los programas de educación sobre ambiente y sostenibilidad en las universidades colombianas(2023) SÁENZ, Orlando; NARANJO-RODRÍGUEZ, José Antonio; SERRANO-BERNARDO, FranciscoEducation on the environment and sustainability is a social field in which multiple theoretical approaches raised during the second half of the 20th century compete. In the case of Colombia, this diversity of points of view is expressed more clearly in higher education programs. In fact, the main stages of environmental education in Colombian universities can be characterized by the predominance of four perspectives focused on: natural resources, environment, sustainable development and sustainability. Based on official data from the National Higher Education Information System (SNIES), on the entire universe of study (25,752 programs) in 2020, 758 specialized on environmental and sustainability issues were identified. More than 90% of these programs were created during the most recent period. When examining their adherence to the different approaches, a clear predominance of the environmental education approach is found.
