    Contextualizes the new approach of information representation called folksonomy, which is used in the web, a marked environment characterized by flexibility and dynamism. Presents the documentary languages as conventional instruments for the information representation and makes a comparison between the traditional model, operated by specialists using controlled language, and folksonomy, in which users freely assign common labels in natural language. Considers the use of free labeling in face of hyper-segmentation of knowledge in virtual environment.
