    Directivos escolares y su capacidad de desarrollar el liderazgo pedagógico. Un estudio cualitativo en Andalucía (España)

    The article provides data for understanding pedagogical leadership development in Spain school management. There is apositive influence of the school principal in the student’seducational development through pedagogical leadership capabilities. We investigated the possibilities of developing such capacities in school directors located inAndalusia (Spain). We appliedcontent analysis in-depth interviews conducted to20school principals. The results refer to the frequency indexof the pedagogical leadership capabilitiesmentioned by the interviewed. In addition, we showpartsof the testimoniesthat extend the interpretative sense of the results. Finally, among other aspects, it ́s highlighted how some capabilitiespredominateover others;those with apedagogical senseare conditioned by structural and cultural inertia.
