- ItemA natureza da gestão universitária: influência de aspectos político-institucionais, econômicos e culturais(2017) RIBEIRO, Raimunda Maria da CunhaThe university is a conducive space for the production of knowledge to contribute to the search for solutions to the problems that affect humanity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the nature of the management of the public university in Brazil, as well as to identify the political-institutional and cultural constraints present in the institutional discourse in order to understand the nature, principles, objectives and purposes and mission This institution. To do so, we divided the research into two stages: the first stage deals with a theoretical analysis, based on a survey of academic-scientific productions in the Capes database (3 dissertations) and Scielo (4 articles) between the years 2011 and 2016; The second stage is the result of a more analytical study, based on institutional documents of the researched universities (federal and state based in the capitals), the Statute and the Institutional Development Plan on: principles, objectives and purpose and mission. The data were analyzed using the content analysis technique from the perspective of Bardin (2009). The results indicate that the nature of university management is built according to political, institutional, economic and cultural constraints; and they are articulated in order to delineate the structure and functioning of management, as well as of all university politics.
- ItemAs bases institucionais da política de extensão universitária(2019) RIBEIRO, Raimunda Maria da CunhaThe policy of university extension is to promote communication between the university and the community, whose purpose is the dissemination of knowledge. Based on this assumption, the objective of this study was to analyze the extension policy of federal public universities, based on the guidelines stated in the Institutional Development Plans. The methodology adoptedwas the qualitative approach, although data appear in percentages, but since the analysis does not result in a statistical deepening proper, we say that it is a predominantly qualitative research. The data collection technique was based on the principles of documentary analysis, adopting as object the Plans of Institutional Development of 27 federal universities, based in the capitals. The concluding summary points to the following understanding: the extension policy in the Brazilian public university, as it is stated in the documents, refers to the fulfillment of the social and educationalfunction, of academic formation, with the implementation of theoretical and practical actions for the promotion of knowledge and culture, access to knowledge and human solidarity, in a participatory, dialogic and value-based partnership.
- ItemAvaliação e ranqueamento de universidades sob a lógica de critérios globais(2018) RIBEIRO, Raimunda Maria da CunhaO mundo globalizado tem provocado diversos impactos no contexto universitário, especificamente a necessidade de adequação das instituições aos novos paradigmas impostos pelas mudanças em todos os setores da sociedade. Assim, o objetivo com esta pesquisa implica compreender o processo de avaliação de universidades, a partir de indicadores de ranqueamentos nacional e internacionais, bem como as exigências impostas a essas instituições quanto às mudanças na política de ensino, pesquisa, extensão e gestão. A metodologia adotada foi a abordagem qualitativa, de caráter bibliográfico e descritivo, tendo como elementos os indicadores adotados pelos rankings Ruf, U-Multirank, Quacquarelli Symonds, Ranking Web, THE-TR e Center for World University Rankings no processo de avaliação de universidades. Em linhas gerais, as universidades são submetidas à competitividade; os resultados classificatórios impõem o redirecionamento da política universitária, de forma a remeter a produção do conhecimento para o atendimento de fins, em alta medida, mercantilistas; há uma exagerada corrida das instituições avaliadas para serem reconhecidas como sendo de alta reputação, logo, universidades de classe mundial.
