- ItemEnsino de ciências na infância: a percepção da prática docente(2020) PINTO, Isadora Gobi; JUNG, Hildegard Susana; SILVA, Louise da de Quadros daThe teaching of science in childhood is a subject that needs to be discussed, therefore, this text presents this theme from the teaching practice in an experience called Projeto Pequenos Cientistas. Our objective is to reflect on the potential of teaching science in childhood, especially in the school environment, for the construction of critical and ecologically aware citizens. We carried out an experience report with observations during the year 2018, a period in which pedagogical practices were focused on understanding the teaching of science in early childhood education. Among the results, we point to the institution's difficulty and the gap in teacher training to effectively address this issue. Furthermore, we realize the importance of science teaching in early childhood education due to its significant impact on children's perception. We consider that the approach to science education needs to start from the reality of each student, making it meaningful.
