- ItemEquidade e iniquidade no ensino superior: uma reflexão(2009) FELICETTI, Vera Lucia; MOROSINI, Marília CostaThe article addresses the equity issue in Higher Education from three aspects: equity of access, of participation and of results. It reflects and asks what is equity in this level of education. The theoretical framework was based on the studies presented at the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) 2008 and others. It presents a statistical comparison between the latest average scores of the students approved in the vestibular (Brazilian university admission exam) of a public HEI (Higher Education Institution) in 2008 and the minimum score of the approved students in the admission exam of the same institution, in 2007. The theoretical interlocution and the statistical study characterize the state of knowledge of the subject under qualitative and quantitative aspects, strengthening the identification of the involved in the equity or the inequity in Higher Education. This paper highlights the existence of policies of affirmative actions as a way to increase the equity of access. The results indicate the existence of inequity in the primary and secondary education. The article emphasizes the need of further studies on equity in Education.
- ItemInternacionalização e educação para a cidadania global(2019) SANTOS, Pricila Kohls dos; MOROSINI, Marília CostaThis study aims to analyze the conceptions of Brazilian university professors about the principles of Education for Global Citizenship (ECG) and the internationalization of higher education, as well as present subsidies for reflection on the teaching practice in higher education. The process of data triangulation is consolidated with the methodology of a qualitative character, in the sense that selected higher education professors from several areas of knowledge were selected from a Community Higher Education Institution of the Southern Region of Brazil to collect their perceptions about of the formation of the global citizen. For that, the questionnaire and two focus groups, both with faculty members, were used as research instruments. In the results of the research, some possible propositions to promote Unesco recommendations for the development of ECG are highlighted, taking as a starting point the view of the teachers researched about this new role in the university. In this sense, the results of this analysis point out: the need of education to return to the learning paradigm; the importance of the shared responsibility of the different levels and actors of higher education, as well as institutional investment in internationalization processes, for the formation of a global citizen.
- ItemOrganismos internacionais e educação superior: proposições da agenda E2030(2020) MOROSINI, Marília Costa; MENTGES, Manuir JoséUnderstanding higher education is a complex task. One of the factors that characterizes such complexity is the relationship between different socioeconomic levels that impact in higher education. In the contemporary concert, the global level has been a strong interference in higher education (AUTHOR, 2019a) and gives a marked importance to internationalization, which has led us to analyze conceptions and proposals from international organizations, for this level of education. This understanding is configured in an umbrella with its multiple sticks, constituting a shelter from the weather of a global world that faces traditional university models and 21st century university models that live with configurations of emerging contexts. (AUTHOR, 2014). To address this factor, we analyzed global and regional perspectives, the latter focused on Latin America and the Caribbean, for obvious reasons and, we raised considerations to (re) think the Internationalization of Higher Education. The text has the character of identifying, selecting and systematizing proposals from emblematic international organizations for higher education, extracted from official documents and available online, through qualitative analysis.
