- ItemAs/ os secretárias/os de programas de pós- graduação stricto e sua relação com a internacionalização.(2020) SOARES, Silvia Adriana da Silva; PAULY, Evaldo Luis; FOSSATTI, PauloThis article discusses an aspect about the professional performance of the secretaries of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Education. What does a PPG Education Secretary do? What is their contribution to the production of knowledge in the area of Education in Brazil? The secretaries often work in direct association with the coordination of the course, helping the management of the postgraduate courses, therefore, they increasingly need to be professionally qualified to meet the ever-increasing demands of Graduate Programs. The internationalization of PPGs is one of the most recent. In this context, the objective of this article is to analyze the importance of developing the skills of Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program secretaries focused on internationalization, specifically the foreign language domain. In order to carry out the proposed analysis, we used the methodology of bibliographical and documentary research to analyze how internationalization is conceived by the Education Area Document in the known version of 2016 and in the future edition of 2018. At the end of this analysis we conclude that the Institutions where we work should turn their gaze into the secretariats, investing in training, to prepare those who are already part of their functional staff to serve foreign visitors, supplying what is necessary for the mastery of the foreign language.
- ItemEducação superior no Brasil: a resistência da filantropia para garantir o acesso universal à universidade(2017) FOSSATTI, Paulo; JUNG, Hildegard SusanaThe experience report recovers the struggle for the maintenance of Philanthropy in Brazil, through a Pension Reform, which guarantees access to more than 600 thousand students of Basic Education and Higher Education, totally free, in public community education institutions. The aim is to make the reader aware of the need to build apolicy of cooperation between state public and private public Higher Education Institutions (HEI) as a strategy for the access and permanence of impoverished young people in higher education. This is the story of the experiences of the authors and their partner institutions in the fight for the maintenance of Philanthropy as a device to guarantee the access and permanence of more young people in higher education. The report is accompanied by documentary data and field journal of researchers in their actions with society, government, and educational entities. As Learning evidences: the lack of knowledge of the government, parliamentarians, and society on the subject; The reductionism of the concept of what is public; The resistance of associations and peoplefor philanthropic reasons and a political mobilization of philanthropic entities in the sensitization of parliamentarians for a new concept of public service. It is concluded by resistance and vigilance in the maintenance of several devices to guarantee philanthropy as a form of access to Higher Education, especially the poor young people.
