    The research aims to analyze the humanization of nursing care of hospitalized children. It is a descriptive qualitative approach, held at the Pediatric Clinic of the Hospital Regional Tarcísio de Vasconcelos Tarcisio Maia, Mossoró / RN. The subjects were nurses, three second-level technical and two higher level. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed from the collective subject discourse. The analysis of what the pros know about humanization, indicates the need of considering the humanistic model that needs to be part of the philosophy of nursing. In relation to knowledge about the National Policy of Humanization, we note that the professionals have little knowledge about this Policy. Concerning the insertion of humanization in the Pediatric Clinic, there is a need to improve care by the nursing staff. With regard to professional education to humanize the hospital offers a few workouts. We launched a challenge to develop projects to humanize the hospital environment, and promote the emotional health of hospitalized children through the presence of family members, recreational activities, a hospital’s own pleasant and humanized care.

    A pesquisa objetiva analisar a humanização da assistência de enfermagem a criança hospitalizada. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva de abordagem qualitativa, realizada na Clínica Pediátrica do Hospital Regional Tarcísio de Vasconcelos Maia, em Mossoró/RN. Os sujeitos foram profissionais de enfermagem, 3 de nível técnico e 2 de nível superior.

    Violação dos direitos da criança e adolescente: percalços para o trabalho da enfermagem

    O presente estudo visa analisar o histórico das denúncias de violação dos direitos da criança e do adolescente recebidas pelo Conselho Tutelar de Mossoró/RN, no ano de 2009 e 2010, e discutir o trabalho de enfermagem frente as violações. Como fontes foram utilizados os relatórios de ocorrências publicados pelo Conselho Tutelar.

    Violação dos direitos da criança e adolescente: percalços para o trabalho da enfermagem

    This study aims to examine the history of complaints of violation of the rights of children and adolescents received by the Child Protection Council Mossoró-RN in 2009 and 2010, and discuss the nursing work against violations. It was used as sources of occurrence reports published by the Child Protection Council. The data was analyzed by the techniques of descriptive statistic using relative and absolute frequencies. Data was presented through graphics and charts that characterize the local situation. The main results indicate the necessity to better understand family relations and the disrespect to the rights of children. To establish public policies to support child we must understand the structure, values, social conditions and relationships that involve the family of children whose rights are violated. With this in mind these factors are identified as mishaps to nursing work, besides the difficulty of recognizing cases and over-capacity of hospitals.
