- ItemEmpreendedor individual: uma modalidade de empreendedorismo emergente(2014) PRADO, Maria de Lourdes; MACHADO, Elizandra; CÂNDIDO, Marcondes da Silva; DELFINO, NelsonThis paper presents an exploratory study, with an overall objective of identifying individual entrepreneurs registered in the Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, and the reasons that lead them to formalization. For this purpose we performed a literature research using concepts and references from entrepreneurs and individual entrepreneurs and reasons that led them to formalize their business. Entrepreneurship in Brazil continues on an upward trend, initially driven by the opening of foreign markets, as well as the privatization of large state companies, and currently influenced by the heating of the internal economy through the rise of classes C and D, and by the law of the individual entrepreneur that provides important advantages in the formalization, which contributed to the opening of new business opportunities by fostering entrepreneurship, which currently has two businesses for opportunity for each entrepreneur by necessity. In this context emerges the upcoming modality of individual entrepreneurs. Currently there are 56,957 individual entrepreneurs in the State of Santa Catarina, while in Brazil there are more than 1.4 million and, to identify its characteristics and the reasons that led them to formalization, we constructed a questionnaire with closed questions with a qualitative approach, resulting in the individual entrepreneurs profile identification.
