    O desenvolvimento de um projeto de orientação de pesquisa científica no ensino fundamental II

    This is the report of the conception and application of a scientific research orientation project, developed with Elementary School II students, in a municipal public school in the city of Americana (SP). The principles that guided the preparation of this initiative are presented, as well as the didactic procedures used during the process of implementing this pedagogical proposal, which involved teacher and student training. There is also a reflection on the importance of early insertion of students into scientific culture, aiming not only at the acquisition of scientific methodology and the abandonment of practices lacking rigor, but mainly favoring the use of critical thinking by students, through the exploration of their ideas and points of view, providing opportunities for the exercise of argumentation.
